In memory of Jim Meisinger and Mary Silseth-Lawless — Class of 1983 — awarded each year to an FBCS senior with a servant's heart.
About the Legacy Scholarship
The Legacy Scholarship was created in 2017 by alumni from the Class of 1983 in loving memory of two of their classmates, Jim Meisinger and Mary Silseth-Lawless. Both Jim and Mary were wonderful examples of two people who loved the Lord and others. Their classmates from high school still remember their powerful example of a servant's heart some 34 years later and desired to create a scholarship fund, based predominantly on community service. Tax-deductible donations are received through givemn.org, and Fourth Baptist Christian School senior students are eligible to apply to receive an annual $1,000 scholarship to be awarded at graduation in May of each year. Please support this wonderful effort and give our seniors an opportunity to earn a college scholarship each year. Thank you.

$1,000 Annual Award
FBCS senior students are eligible to apply for a $1,000 scholarship awarded at graduation each May, helping our graduates carry their faith and service into the next chapter of their education.
