CLEP Testing at FBCS

FBCS is an approved CLEP testing site. Students may CLEP out of college courses during or in advance of college attendance. Visit clep.collegeboard.org for more information and pricing.

FBCS Admin Fee

$35 cash or check (made out to FBCS)

CLEP Ticket

Most CLEP tests cost $95 through College Board

You need a score of 50 out of 80 to receive credit. If you pass the test for a certain subject, this can replace that class for you in college — but the specifics vary by institution.

Taking a CLEP Test

1. Register through College Board

You must purchase your CLEP ticket from College Board — FBCS cannot register you. The proctor will need the ticket number to log you into your specific test.

2. Schedule your testing session at FBCS

Use our Calendly link to book a CLEP testing session at FBCS.

3. Pay the FBCS administrative fee

Bring $35 cash or check (made out to FBCS) on test day.

4. Bring government-issued ID

School ID cards are not acceptable. You must present a government-issued photo ID.

5. Be careful about overlap with PSEO

Some CLEP tests may replace courses you've already done in PSEO — don't repeat these. Check with your intended college on CLEP credit limits and which classes they replace.

Recommendation

Students who have attended FBCS for their four-year high school career, have done well in their English courses, and have completed at least GTA-3 should consider studying and taking the College Algebra and English CLEP tests.

Testing Schedule

Tests are typically administered on Wednesday afternoons (3:45–5:15 p.m.) during the school year and on Tuesday/Thursday during the day in the summer. If posted times don't work, contact us to arrange an alternative.
