8:30 AM to 3:15 PM
The school day begins at 8:30 a.m. for all grades. It is strongly recommended that students not enter the building prior to 7:45 AM unless a teacher has requested a meeting for special purposes. All secondary students are always to enter the building through the atrium. Elementary students arriving before 8:15 a.m. will enter through the atrium also. Elementary students arriving after 8:15 AM may use the upper level entrance near the library. All students entering before 8:15 AM will remain in the atrium until they are dismissed, unless with a teacher. The normal and recommended entry time for ALL students is 8:15 AM, at which time they are to proceed to their assigned homerooms. Once students enter the school property, they are not to leave the school premises prior to going home, without notifying the teacher (elementary students) or the office (secondary students). No student will be dismissed before 3:15 PM for work obligations. Students are to arrive at school and leave school in school attire unless specific permission has been given by the administration. After 8:30 a.m., all students, parents and visitors must enter through the school office and sign in. The office is located on the lower level just inside the southeast stairwell doors. This is a secured entry with an entry buzzer. Parents and visitors will receive a visitor’s badge to wear while in the building. The school day ends at 3:15 p.m. There is to be no loitering after 3:30 p.m. on school property, including the parking lot. Those students in the building after 3:30 p.m. are to be in one of these areas:
- Elementary – After School Care (ASC) room will be open until 5:30 p.m. unless announced otherwise. All students are to be picked up by 5:30 p.m. There is no ASC on days of early dismissals.
- Secondary – Atrium or School Library, or sports practices
- Detention Location – designated room only.
Normal pickup is in front of the Atrium doors, both for elementary carline and secondary students in After School Care (until 4:15 p.m.) After 4:15 p.m., secondary students may be picked up at the library entrance. Elementary After School Entrance is the library entrance (unless After Care is on the playground or in the gymnasium, and signs are posted). Students leaving from sports practices should also be picked up at the Atrium doors.
